42Q Cloud MES on AWS

Project Overview

Project Detail

Data can be ingested from multiple data sources.  AWS IoT Greengrassconnectors provide connectivity to common protocols such as OPC Unified Architecture (OPC/UA), Modbus-TCP, Modbus-RTU, and IoT Ethernet IP. AWS Partner solutions can be used to connect to additional data sources, combine data sources, provide contextualization, or aggregate values before the data is sent to AWS. Data can also be ingested directly into a customer's AWS account. The service selection depends on the source. Customers can useAWS DataSyncfor a file share, Amazon Kinesis,Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (Amazon MSK),AWS IoT Core,orAWS Transfer for SFTP for streaming data feeds from variety of sources. Customers can use AWS artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) services such as Amazon Forecastand Amazon SageMakerto build, train, and deploy ML models. Customers can use AWS analytics services such as Amazon EMR,AWS Glue,Amazon Athena, Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, andAmazon OpenSearch Service for data processing. Customers can store data in a data store that is optimized for their workload. These include Amazon DynamoDBfor key value and document data structures, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for object storage, Amazon Neptunefor graph use cases, Amazon Redshiftfor data warehousing, Amazon Timestream for time series data, and AWS IoT SiteWiseto organize and analyze industrial equipment data. AWS Lambda allows data to be written from Amazon S3 (or any data store) to the 42Q MES API. 42Q Xchange is a set of SOAP-based APIs designed to facilitate connectivity from a customer’s enterprise resource planning or customer relationship management (ERP/CRM) system to 42Q, providing critical integration to the digital factory implementation. The MES API provides for a REST API to support data ingestion. 42Q provides users with a cloud-based MES that provides simplified access and ease of use. AWS IoT Greengrass provides support for legacy printers so that print jobs can be created in the 42Q platform and pushed to on-premises printers for label printing.
