This Quick Start deploys Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Dedicated Hosts for Microsoft Windows to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. It is for IT infrastructure architects, administrators, and DevOps professionals who want to implement a Dedicated Hosts environment using their eligible Microsoft-licensed products.

The Quick Start automates the process of setting up the AWS License Manager license configuration and associating it with a host resource group. It creates an Auto Scaling group of Dedicated Host instances, which are then assigned to the host resource group. Using the host resource group, you manage the instances as a single entity based on your License Manager configuration settings. As you add new licenses to the License Manager configuration, they are automatically applied to the new instances.
