Siemens Industrial Edge Devices run Southbound Connector which connects to field devices and gateways through different protocols. Connectors are deployed and distributed from Siemens Industrial Edge Management to Siemens Industrial Edge devices. Cloud connector application establishes connectivity to AWS and transfers data using MQTT protocol over a secure TLS layer. Data ingested into AWS IoT Core is streamed to AWS IoT SiteWise, AmazonKinesis Data Streams, and AWS IoT Events. AWS IoT Events processes the data and sends notifications based on business logic. Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose streams data directly into an Amazon S3 bucket, then AWS Glue extracts and transforms data to be consumed by Amazon SageMakeror Amazon Redshift.
